The Buddha proclaimed that "There is no transmigration of a self. What does continue after death are our thoughts, words, and deeds. So, we must be careful of our thoughts, words, and deeds."
This is our legacy; The only continuance this egocentric "self" can claim. The moral dilemma this presents is profound.
Atheists and humanists believe that it is possible to live a morally upright life that harms no one, or as Garald Gardner, the father of the modern Wicca movement, stated when he misquoted Aleister Crowley, "An it harm none, do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."
The statement promotes self-aggrandizement and is the antitheist of the Buddhist principle, "Where there is truth there is no self, where there is self there is no truth."
Actions, even those that appear benign, when attached to self are the root of suffering. To realize this takes time, effort, and self-reflection.
Our goal is to publish works that shine a positive influence on the individual spiritual journey. We do this because the individuals' thoughts, words, and deeds contribute to the universal flow of cause and effect.
Only the person who plants a tree knowing he will never sit in its shade understands.
